Default Customs Tax?

Just a quickie, how much is the tax for importing stuff under a year old?

does the tax count on things like towels and bedding, clothes too?

I believe it's only for things over £100 (well $250 in fact but you'll have paid for them them in £ so it's easier to think of the limit in £ too).

According to many posters in the past, they tend to turn a blind eye..

I think if you came in with a dozen of many items, obviously for resale they would cost you....

It also depends on whether or not you get a jobs-worth at the other end....

I suspect for normal day to day things like linen etc you would be ok... just take stuff out of wrappers, remove labels, tags etc..then who can prove...

your new sofa still in manufacturers wrapping may be different?
