Question Customs/Import duty on imported goods to AUS

In preparing for the final move to Australia, I would like to know whether I would have to pay customs duty on personal effects of less than six months old. This will help me a lot to know what next step I should take. If you know, kindly share it with me.

What household goods (like washing machine, dryer, refridgerators, freezers, etc) do you think is cheaper in Europe than in Australia?

Just dont tell them what is less than 6 months old. Friend sent camera and printer dock over for birthday the customs wabt me to pay tax on it because the total package was valued at 500 GBP had to supply them proof the items were cheaper and not valued over $1000.
good luck
