Default Current Affair - Quorn now in Australia !!

Tonight's current affair announced that Quorn is about to hit the streets, well supermarkets. I know that heaps of people here, myself included, will be pleased to say the least!

Because they're handy, they taste nice (they don't taste of meat so they're not really meat substitutes) and they're something you can bring to a BBQ and not feel like a food freak Also it means you can enjoy meals you liked before becoming veggie (like lasagne, bolognaise etc) without eating meat.

I'm not vegetarian but Quorn is really low in fat and great for dieting

Well I have tried those and they were ok (lower fat alternative to meat sausages), but I do like using the mince in cooking - chilli, bolognaise etc.

Fair enough. I just struggle with the whole 'meat substitute' thing. Seems weird.

I know, and I've done them in the UK for friends, but I've also done meat ones as well for everyone else, and I just can't bring myself to not put some protein in.

Because now I can cook the same thing for my wife and I. I don't care for prepackaged food, sausages and so on. I use the mince and pieces in place of meat in any recipe which calls for it and viola a vege version that tastes awesome.
