We used Pickfords and could not fault them. They came in first thing on the morning three men and packed everything as we brought most of our things with us. They was very reasuring with my girls, especially the one she wouldn't take her eyes of him thought things would be left behind or broken after a while laughing and talking to them she went out and left them to it. They realy helped with the girls talking with them and making conversations about the new life they will lead. Our goods arrived and was notified of this and just waiting to clear customs then once they cleared they arranged delivery. A happy day for us to get some home comforts around us. Again the guys done everythink unpacked things put them all way made the frame beds, tables, wall units up. When hubby came home he didn't have to do anything. All rubbish took away. Some boxes with ornaments breakables ets and general items we unpacked ourselves as we had alot and didn't want everything unwrapped. They said as long as you check every item before 30 days for any damages incase you have to make any insurance claims so we juct checked everything else put odd things in cupboards and others back into the boxes and nothing was broken or damage. I was very pleased. Can not remember price will need to look it up for you but we insured everything which is expensive. A friend had the same Pickfords but didn't bother having insurance but it depends if you want to take the risk or what you bringing over and what its worth. PM if you want more info.

We used Pickfords and i have to agree that they are very good.

We packed all of the stuff ourselves, so they just came and loaded it up on the lorry. From memory we paid £2500, and that was with everything insured for 'total loss only', which basically means that if stuff gets damaged its tough luck, but if it all goes missing then it's covered!

Hope that helps

We have used Crown for a shared container. Cost us £2000 - so far we have found them to be very efficient, will let you know more next week after our stuff is delivered!

My personal experience with Pickfords is they stink!
Damaged goods. Inability to communicate with international counterparts. Vandalized items.

This topic has been raised countless times. Some have good experiences with either, some have bad. You take your chances! Good luck

I used Santa Fe on my last 2 international moves from Melbourne - the first time was ok but the second was not so good. I believe Crown, Pickfords, Santa Fe and a few others are all considered to be the top few relocation companies. So long as you supervise and voice any concerns you have immediately, there should be no major dramas. At this level any gripes are relatively "minor" - not dealing with breakages, scratches and that sort of thing generally. Why not ask for a few quotes and ask some tough questions and see how they respond.

Another thumbs up from us for Pickfords. Good comms at both ends and not a single damaged item!

Hi, we were quoted £1650 for half a container or shared container as as they call it. This is not including insurance. Hope this helps. Thanks sam
