Cringe worthy posts
Ever written one of those really cheesy posts when you either hit submit too soon, have had a few bevvies and wrote something cr@p or have just written drivel to fill time?
Having notched up over 4000, I have to admit it's hard to choose my worst post although the thread on canola oil was particularly memorable.

Hehe, I missed the urine sample thread
Um, my canola thread was http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...ghlight=canola and the embarrasing bit was that I just read through some article really quickly, started a one woman crusade about canola but I hadn't read this bit...
My daughter and her girls were telling jokes. Stephanie hit her mom's arm with
the back of a butter knife in a gesture, "Oh mom", not hard enough to hurt. My daughters arm split open like it was rotten. She called me to ask what could have caused it. I said, "I'll bet anything that you are using Canola oil". Sure enough, there was a big gallon jug in the pantry.
Not side splittingly funny but I felt pretty stoopid

Funnily enough, since that thread, whenever I am in the kitchen and pass MrsD the cooking oil or the butter softened with canola, I feel I have to warn her to be careful in case her arm splits open.

Hi Caz N Rob,
What a great thread! As a BE virgin, I hadn't read before so it gave me a great laugh. We laugh - but it's all useful stuff to know really.
Have a good day

Thanks Mr and Mrs D, must admit I have canola in the fryer :scared:
BTW it is suprisingly quiet, maybe some posters have too many cringe worthy posts to choose a good one

Argh, there's heaps, but luckily I have a bad memory, and happily keep on posting... If I did remember them all, I would've long left the forum from shame
