Is it normal for banks here to send out replacement credit cards only a few days before the old one expires? Mine expires end Jan, I rang several times over the last few days as it still hadn't turned up and was told don't worry about it, this is normal, hasn't been sent yet. Just rang again to be told it was actually sent out two weeks ago, so has obviously gone missing somewhere on the way!
Can anyone recommend a good credit card company, I think I need to swap?!

Mine automatically go to the branch and we go and pick it up, same for our friends.

Hi Buzz who do you bank with?? With commonwealth they get sent out and arrive mid month of the expiry, If you need it sooner you need to call over a month before and say you might be travelling and want a card with and extended expiry date.
This happens all the time.

Its quite normal for stuff to vanish into the void of Aus Post, or to be stolen out of those stupid mail boxes that the neighbours and passer-by can easily peer into.
They don't send the cards out as early as the UK usually does though, its always a last minute thing.
