Sorry about whinging here, but needed to get it off my chest, hope I can pick myself up soon.

Hi, sending a hug. We have four cats and have been here six weeks and worried sick as we're in high tick season apparently. How long as he been on the antibiotics? that may sort him out presumably vet has checked for ticks etc. Can you call a cat specialist clinic. There's a brilliant one in paddington and moutn gravatt who only specialises in cats , cant think of its name at the mo but pm me if you want it and I'll send it to you) who may be able to give you some advice or suggest something over hte phone. Wishing him and you better pm me if you need to

Hi lb, tried to send you a pm, but it says that you need to clear some space first before you can accept new messages

Talk to you soon, Katie

Cat and I are not feeling much better today, although not worse either.
As it stands now, if he hasn't started to eat by tomorrow morning, I'll take him to Townsville to a vet clinic, as he is really starting to get wobbly, probably due not eating and the weight loss, and get him thoroughly checked there. Only wanted to go to Townsville end of next week for our Xmas break, but luckily I am not working at the moment and can go earlier (hubby needs to keep working until end of next week though )

Katie
Have you checked him for ticks. Look inside his ears and mouth too. One sign of tick paraliysis is back legs going wobbly.
Check him again just to be on the safe side.

take care x

Will do, checked his fur already but not inside ears and mouth, although he seems to have some problems around / in his mouth as usually you can rub his chin, he loves it, but at the mo he does me not allow to do that.

Local vet reckons we don't have ticks in this area, and also they are indoor cats, but I'm not so sure about it.

Thanks,

Katie

I really hope he gets better, it's so upsetting to see your pet ill.

Do you think he could have bee stung by something.
I live in sydney on the northern beaches where ticks are really bad and I know of indoor cats getting ticks because people bring them in on their clothes or washing.

Not trying to scare you, just want your cat to get better. I know how much my cat meant to me.

I feel so sorry for you both. It's terrible to see your pet ill, you
just feel so responsible. Hang in there (both of you )!!
Take care,
Miranda xx
