We lived in Bottesford prior to coming here - loved Bottesford. People keep telling us how much Nottingham has gone down hill though in a year. Real shame. I'm a Londoner but fell in love with Nottingham in the 3 years I was there. Where are you?
I know Bottesford well.
We live in Keyworth.Had a couple put an offer in on our house £15,000 under the asking price but cannot really afford to accept although we are still thinking about it.Trouble is we do not want to be struggling for money when we get to Oz as it will be hard enough as it is.
When we went out to validate back in August we looked around Buderim I really liked it.
It's huge though isn't it?
We live in a large village but compared to Oz everywhere is so big.We looked at Pomona an Cooroy also when we came out and liked the feel of them.
We are looking at buying a Butchers shop so as you can see we need every dollar. to set this up.
Are you really loving The Sunshine Coast and do you have family out there?.

Not that I'm missing them but just out of curiosity, what tv 'specials' are they showing this year?

Have you endured our Queenie's speech yet?

We're not allowed to celebrate Christmas here this year. Apparently it's offensive to non-Christians.

Don't know what Xmas specials are on this year. Is anything special??
Morecambe and Wise Xmas Special 1973 was on last year at 11pm

The cast of Eastenders did a 'Good Old Eastenders knees up' (in other words a load of bad actors tried to sing in fake snow).

Sharon Osborne did an alternative Queen's speech last year. Please let it be Ozzy this year and give us all a laugh.

Sarah, I have spent many Christmas's on Oz and cannot wait for my next one.

Hi there,
Keyworth's lovely. We looked there. We also lived in Bingham for a while.
We LOVE the Sunshine Coast - it's how you imagine a picture postcard of Australia. They reckon something like 12 people per week are moving here. It's rapidly being discovered.

we had thought we would do the whole acreage thing and have also looked at Pomona, Cooroy etc but just felt a bit cut off. Depends what you want and we just wanted to be near the sea. It's not that we go swimming every day or lie on the beach but the sea is such a draw, for drinks, for walks, for restaurants etc

Everyone is so friendly. Appaarently Buderim has been voted 3rd best place in the world to live!!!

Once you get here, it's worth touring the Sunshine Coast, right from Caloundra up to noosa and inland, there are many lovely places. particulalrly Montville, Maleny and Mapleton in the hinterland if you like country living.

28 degrees and sunny today.

Regarding your house, yep 15k is a lot of Aussie dollars. Market should pick up after Xmas shouldn't it? Good luck
Sarah
