just goes to show the difference between holidays and living...went to perth, lived in south perth - como for a month, never saw anyone remotely not middle class...you get such a small picture of a place you don't even consider that there are truely rough parts

There are some nice bits to Vic Park, but mostly it's not that great. It's well catered for shopping wise, with Cannington next door & there are a few decent looking pubs there too. I reckon it could be an area that is going to do well in the not too distant future.

That's what I thought. Looks an old suburb, but houses aren't that cheap, and crime figures not alot lower than South Perth.

We only want this place for 5 weeks.

It's in a secure complex with pool, tennis court. Has video intercom to the apartment, and door code access to complex from street.

Just seems great location to foreshore/parks/Burswood golf, CBD, and central for exploring both NOR and SOR for where we finally end up.

Would you really not consider the area safe enough?

We stayed on Carnarvon St. in East Vic Park a couple of years ago with the father-in-law for a couple of months.

That part of Vic Park would be fine for a few weeks. (IMHO)

Should be fine, imo Sounds good, it being a comlex complex, and yeah reasonably central(is central, but gotta drive around to get to freeway, or Graham farmer fwy (albany highway/causeway is only good if you want to get into city centre, otherwise your're best to avoid city centre with the car!)

There are wayyy worse areas (Maddington )

Zebra4 is on a distinguished road

Great choice for a few weeks rental. It's only about 10-15 mins on the train to the city. It has all the shops, car showrooms, banks, cafes. Not too far to the river and Burswood. A mixture of townhouses, older established houses on large blocks and apartments.
