WOW........just did a rough calculation to see how much we have spent on our visa process so far.

Medicals, IELTS + hotel, visa application, skills assessment, migration agent fees, pre-medical report, police checks, some papers certified, passports, photos, getting original copies of certain documents etc has added up to almost £4,000
Plus court costs on top which were about £7,500

Total so far : £11,500

We still have flights, container, up front rent to pay........plus have to sell our house so more fees to estate agent and solicitor there!!!!

Didn't realise how much we've spent........or are still going to!!!

LOL......if we add the flights £3500 plus container approx £4,500 that's a total of £19,500........plus buying a car in oz and rent for 3-6 months on top......probably be in excess of £26k-£27k

we thought we would have a nice sum from the sale of our house to take with us, looks like by the time we have paid everything well be lucky to have enough to buy a drink (which is much needed after adding all that up!)have to have a virtual one!!

Shocking the amount you need just to leave the UK and arrive in Oz!!!!

WOW!!!!!!! Kind of feel a little bit better knowing that other people have paid quite a lot of money just to get to Oz.........but still totally shocked at the total cost Haven't told hubby yet.......he may not take the news too good....LOL
