My name is sue.Me and my family are looking into a move to cairns queensland.

We would appreciate any advice including cost of moving living costs,and schooling.

And some areas charge upto $4.5k per child but depends on what visa methinks!!

We need more info on what your going/when/how/ etc etc !!!

State schools are basically free in QLD, and all States other than NSW and ACT, for 457 Visa Holders.
It is basically free in all States for PR visa holders.

Living costs vary, depending on how well a person lives.

Many people get by on $50k per year. Some appear to struggle on $100k per year.

I appreciate you are new but this forum thingy is full of answers to such geenric questions. To ellicit a good response you may find it easier to do a lillte research first (on here for example) then come back with a specific question like:

1)On average how does cost of living comapre between Cairns and [insert place in UK]
2) What would take home salarybe on gross income of [insert salary]
etc.

For quick answers: cost of moving likely to be a round GBP 800 per flight plus (and now I am guessing) about GBP3000 for a houseful of stuff

In my opnion living costs should be considered to be the same as UK; some things cost more some things cost less

State schooling in QLD is free. Private avaialble from about $3k-13k pa.
