Anyone know how much dearer the cost of flights are coming back, not that i want to but the wife may need to. I hear stories of it costing an awful lot more, which is harder as your effectively not earning pounds.
Are there any good websites out there in OZ that provide you with the same info you can get here. Just waiting to sell the house now.

I just booked flights to Manch with Singapore Airlines and it was actually chepaer to book direct with the airline than via an agent.

I found return flights cost about the same as UK at the current exchange rate, (maybe a tad more) but yes, salaries are generally lower, so in real terms, more expensive (if all that makes sense!)

I too found that calling Qantas direct worked out cheaper than agents - even web-based ones like Expedia (in the UK).

And you can pre-book your preferred seats, which is well worth doing.
