Hi all well flying Sunday and just wondering if it is better to convert travelling cash here (UK) or wait until we get to Brisbane?

Where can you find the best exchange rate? I think wherever that is would be best.

I find Marks & Spencer give the best exchange rate. They have forex facilities in most of their big stores.

You can generally get better exchange rates by using your ATM card to withdraw cash - though for this to work best it's better to take out large amounts as some providers apply a fee for each withdrawl.

Otherwise - try www.travelex.co.uk and pre-order for collection at the airport before you go through security.

Failing that - if you have a Nationwide credit card - use that. I've been getting 2.52 on purchases, whereas travelex are quoting 2.42.
