I'd run a couple of searches on this forum, the subject regularly comes up on here.

Not done it myself yet, so can't really comment

Plenty of previous posts but here's our experiences, based on a 20ft container to ship junk accumulated over many years in an average sized 4 bed house -

PSS - Without even visiting us quoted £2900.

White & Co - Sent an estimator over 3 weeks ago, we're still waiting and if this is the sort of service we can expect they won't be getting our business.

Crown - Really knowledgable bloke, very professional, £3600. We'll probably be going with these as they're the only ones so far who do not sub contcract work in Oz so you're always dealing with the same company.

John Masons coming out in a few days, I'll let you know.

Crown were our choice. The fact that it was the same company
here and in Oz, weighed in their favour. They were the most
expensive, but did come down quite a bit after some negotiating.

The packers arrived on Monday and worked really hard and everything was packed by Thursday (1700 cu ft, sole use 40 ft
container) when the container arrived. I had worked hard
sorting everywhere out so I could leave them to it. They were
very good at leaving things you didn't want packed and made
helpful suggestions (like leaving the TV and microwave until
the last day). The container was loaded and gone within 2.5
hours and then I was left with an empty house (very strange).

So far I would recommend them, but I haven't seen how the
stuff arrives the other end!!!

Good luck in your search.
