Default Consumer rights (NSW) Regarding Rental Furniture

Hi, we arrived last week from the UK to NSW, rented an un-furnished unit until our stuff arrives in 10-14 weeks....

Needed the basics (fridge, sofa, tv) so went to a well known company (won't mention any names)

BUT

Items arrived today, got the delivery guy to sign all paperwork as DAMAGED (re-rent as short term = battered, and bruised) BUT when we opened the fridge to put all our nice shopping (plus plenty of BEER) it was DISGUSTING. I had to get the marrigolds out, and get scrubbing.

Trust me, I will be on the phone first thing tomorrow but what are my rights? The bond alone for all the cr&p they supplied is worth more than all the items put together!! Just want to get my facts right before I start complaining!

Any help much appreciated, cheers
