Default Construction industry "on-site" - 5 or 6 days a week?

Does anyone know if people in the construction industry, site-based (not tradesmen), do a 5 or 6 day week?

Thanks for any info!

Depends on the project and your role on it.

I work a 5 day week, but am only accounts payable. Some engineers work 6 days, some work 7 if there's a push to get something done.

On the project I'm currently on, site operational hours are 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday but we are running 3 out of 4 weekends...and we've just started so it's not even in full swing yet.

On a pipeline construction spread the usual roster is 4 weeks on, one week off - and the 4 on are 7 day weeks, 10-12 hour days. But that's on a moving site with the contractor providing all meals and accommodation in a camp. Around the major cities you don't see much activity on weekends.

construction projects are mainly roster based out of big cities. Remote working does have its pros and cons...

we work on sites but not as part of the site - I fight like mad to have anyone present sat pm or sunday. its hard as we have to work when they are not working but have to have someone present. hasnt been easy for the last 5 years to get anyone present after 11am on a sat - this is small/medium sized worksites in qld - schools shops etc
