Question Consent form visa for a child under 18 - Form 1229

Consent form visa for a child under 18 - Form 1229.
This form states it must be witnessed by a practicing lawyer or travel agent....are these the only people that can sign this form??? as they are in short supply.

What kind of visa are you applying for, this form says it's only for *visitor* visas. There is no specific form for consent given to allow a child to migrate.

Consent form to grant an Australian visitor visa to a child under the age of 18.

States at bottom Witness must be a practicing lawyer or travel agent.

It's my next door neighbour who is going on a sponsered visa but needs to get it signed, and all travel agents are saying no and can't find a lawyer yet so needs to know who else can sign as doesn't give usual people.

We are hoping we don't need it as we are going as permenant skilled visa.

The form is for *visitor* visas and as British citizens can normally use ETAs, it's hardly ever required in the UK.

When you say a 'sponsored' visa what exactly do you mean?
