so it is nice to read that someone is doing ok, has a found good job and is happy.
I think I've been very lucky Cinderella; I know not everyone is finding it quite so easy, and I really feel for those of you like Donna, who are still job-hunting or whatever- I hope it pays off in the end. Mine is a combination of luck and sheer determination I suppose - I knew I would have to get work asap, and so came prepared to do anything, and threw myself wholeheartedly into every application. I guess my enthusiasm must have shown at the interview, also they liked the fact that I was looking for a stable job and not something to use as a stepping stone.
And yes, I am happy here - its not paradise, but its lovely, and I'm starting to feel that its home.

Well done, Polly. I've noticed that the harder one works, the luckier one gets....

Jobs are out there somewhere, just takes persistence I guess cos I'd applied for loads; so keep trying people - & they actually seemed to like the fact I'm British! Said something about stamping my individuality on the place, so I might wear the witch's hat to work.....!!!
As for internet access, I didn't like to ask, have to wait till January to see!

Pollyana, the permanently employed witch,
Hi Pollyana

Just wanted to say a big CONGRATULATIONS to you and your second job is as many months, great news!

Well done and everything you said is true. As you say persistence pays off. We get a lot of ribbing as poms but I have never felt that being British has held me back here.

Hey - thats awesome news! I'm so pleased for you. Must be a huge load off your shoulders. You should pass on any tips you have for doing good interviews.... we'll all be needing them sooner or later. (hopefully)
All the best!
