Compare Canada with Australia

Both these countries - Canada and Australia - attract lots of skilled migrants and rank among the best countries in the world, to live in.
Are there any comparisons available to decide on which country would be a better choice? I am talking about the experiences of people who might have analysed this - compared notes with family/friends living in these two places.
Apart from the weather, what are the things where OZ scores over Canada? Education System? Cost of Living? Attitude of the people? Industrial development? Economy?
If there is anyone out there who has considered these points it'd be great to hear.
