Coles Vs Tesco Comparison

Who's knickers are twisted?
I disagree, however for someone who apparently doesn't care, you're getting a bit het up about it all.
Oh maybe it's your knickers in a twist.
All becomes clear now.

Ok... I was really bored and curious so I got my reciept from last weeks Cole's shop and then sat on Tesco.co.uk and made a comparison chart in excel.
Yes I am a loser!
lol
I found it quite interesting to see what was cheaper and what was expensive. It worked out that my shopping was $40 more in Aus than in the UK... If you're interested in having a look then I've had to put it here. I don't know how to put a PDF on the forum.

This is an interesting site on that note though. Might get the iphone app so I can really annoy my hubby at the shops!

...actually I'm curious about the beans. Are we talking baked beans here? At £1.68 a pop?? Doesn't sound right....tin oh Heinz beans is 50p...I think Tesco might have overcharged you - the swines!

lets look at this more closely
banannas ( could have named any fruit but this site seems to have an an affiliation with narnas for some reason ) at nerang and muddgie farmers markets are less than a third of the price of thoose in the local supermarkets someones making a big markup somewhere

Not much "fair trade" on the shelves though. Although, I guess there's a lot less that needs to be bought from places where that would be an issue. Upset that they don't sell the fairtrade Lavazza coffee. It's my fav and I feel bad if it's not fairtrade so I've been avoiding it.

Totally, emphatically, positively agree. Barstewards keep taking the frigging points away. I had just over 16,000 2 years or so ago, got a statement today and I have just under 4,500! It's all a big con.

It's never a surprise to me to see that. But I never buy meat, fruit or veg in either Coles or Woolworths.
Comparing your costs to the 'average' wages though....
Shopping total = $187.44 £86.52
Average Wage = $1,346.88 £529.85
Shopping as % of wage = 13.92% 16.33%
Your 2 litre milk prices are a shocker ! $5.77 : £1.53
$5.77 for 2 litres of milk ? What type is it ?
I pay $2.09 for dairy farmers
