See, if the girl of the UK Patron Saint thinks i'm cool then so should you! It's unpatriotic not to

I only did it out of interest in where my $s were going; nothing more sinister intended!

I disagree, however for someone who apparently doesn't care, you're getting a bit het up about it all. Oh maybe it's your knickers in a twist.

All becomes clear now.

Yes I am a loser! lol

I found it quite interesting to see what was cheaper and what was expensive. It worked out that my shopping was $40 more in Aus than in the UK... If you're interested in having a look then I've had to put it here. I don't know how to put a PDF on the forum.
Yes, but Tesco screws farmers, whereas Coles is a paragon of Aussie virtue....the fair go n'all that jazz!

Not much "fair trade" on the shelves though. Although, I guess there's a lot less that needs to be bought from places where that would be an issue. Upset that they don't sell the fairtrade Lavazza coffee. It's my fav and I feel bad if it's not fairtrade so I've been avoiding it.

This is an interesting site on that note though. Might get the iphone app so I can really annoy my hubby at the shops!

Have you seen the Tesco iPhone app? It's insane...it tells you what aisle AND shelf the thing you're after is on in any Tesco in the UK.

That'd be his thong hun. I reckon he asked for her autograph and she turned him down....

Totally, emphatically, positively agree. Barstewards keep taking the frigging points away. I had just over 16,000 2 years or so ago, got a statement today and I have just under 4,500! It's all a big con.

Fruit and Veg in the Australian Supermarkets is very expensive.

It's never a surprise to me to see that. But I never buy meat, fruit or veg in either Coles or Woolworths.

Comparing your costs to the 'average' wages though....

Shopping total = $187.44 £86.52
Average Wage = $1,346.88 £529.85
Shopping as % of wage = 13.92% 16.33%

Your 2 litre milk prices are a shocker ! $5.77 : £1.53
$5.77 for 2 litres of milk ? What type is it ?
I pay $2.09 for dairy farmers
