I only do beach fishing.
But.
All the gear here is seriously cheap. Unless you have top gear, and by definition, carting it over means you are literally CARRRYING it yaself, DONT lol
If your shipping other stuff, shove it in !!!

Hi I was in Melbourne last your and I saw some people fishing in small rivers/canals out towards the Mornington Peninsula, I got talking to a young lad whilst fishing off a pier and he said that they were Europeans after course fish, but I don't know what species they were after.
we are moving in November and I can't be bothered to take most of my gear with me, I am only taking my Pike rods and Reels and my sea fishing gear. The fishing gear is so cheap its not worth taking, I brought a 12' surf rod and reel (that was crap) for $50.00.
