C'mon Aussie C'mon
Oh, feel better for that little outburst!
It's xmas time again but better than that, it's Aussie xmas time and we LOVE it!
No major planning, no carols in the shops 20 wks before the 'big day', no big sale consumerism, no worrying about whether old Aunty Betty will choke on a turkey bone and cark it around the family xmas table...
Just to quell the 'homesick', 'miss family' etc etc threads....
All who love the Aussie xmas, join the club and sign here....
MERRY AUSSIE CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

I'm not sure how I will take to the Aussie xmas when I'm there next year.
I love xmas - carols, opening prezzies, the food and wine the excitement, the traditions.
However I hate the commercialism. We have to buy for so many people it has become a financial strain. :scared:
I think when I'm in Oz I will have to create some new traditions and go back to basics almost.
On another thread someone mentioned carols by candlelight. That really appeals to me. The thought of seafood and champers sounds good too.
Does anyone know any other Aussie xmas traditions?
