SPRING forward, FALL back. You are, I think, forgetting that the seasons are opposite.
Hope that clears things up. Oh and the clocks will go back by one hour.

To cap the confusion, VIC is still on EDT which is GMT+11 when they should be on EST which is GMT+10.
Clear?

Adelaide, South Australia, Australia

UTC/GMT Offset Standard time zone: UTC/GMT +9:30 hours
Daylight saving time: +1 hour
Current time zone offset: UTC/GMT +10:30 hours
Time zone abbreviation: CST - Central Summer(Daylight) Time
So from this I have counted and worked out they are definately 9.5 hours ahead of us.
BUT I am still confused as to what their clocks are doing this weekend, they didn't move them last weekend when we did!!
Help me somebody

If you're a shortwave freak, you would have given up this thread in disgust by about the second post, so it wont apply to you

I am in UK so the radio will say the same time as it already is here!!
SO if I understand this correctly from sunday when it is midnight here it will be 8.30 am in Adelaide.
I get this answer because at the moment they are 9.5 hours ahead, they are putting their clocks BACK 1 hour they will be gaining an hour so will only be 8.5 hours ahead. This means that in order to phone DIMA's enquiry line I will need to stay up till 12.30 am or get up before 7.30 so I can phone them during office hours.
I am not thick I am just having trouble getting my head round changing times over time zones!
Thank you all for the help
