Regarding those wood burners. Brisbane Councils are now planning to stop the installation of them in new houses from next year. No doubt many others councils will follow.

It does need to be looked at tho. We have one but its a huge block with no other houses close. However in the Burbs the houses are a metre or so apart and they just dont seem appropriate to have one that close to your neighbour. Plus in true Ozzie "Whats the cheapest option" they cut back on flue and the smoke lands in your garden instead of going up into the air.

Give it ten years and WA will debate it but do nothing , Perth is a hick Town and Wood Burners are a way of life.
