Default Clean air in Perth Humbug

Come to Australia for clean air my arse , this time of year the prats with wood burners are full on and car poplution is not getting any better thanks to refugees filling up the place and driving around in cars with over powered old crap Yankie engines.

Smog hits city's health

A MAJOR study into Perth's air pollution has exposed the first definitive link between smog and people getting sick from diseases such as emphysema and chronic bronchitis.

Thirty-one people a day are admitted to hospital in winter with such conditions.

The complaints which medical staff have to deal with include asthma, pneumonia and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases like emphysema and bronchitis. The State Government-backed study has found some of them are smog-related.

I do not run a wood burner but most do , these out dated smoke machines make the air thick with polution.
Car polution is a problem here in WA , no MOT so the state of some of the bombs on the road is equal to what Third World countries have.

Funny, I thought you worked in, (pardon the sniffy accent) "Hortimotive ReaSearch", can't even fit a catalytic converter let alone fix a draught in your house? Look to your own exhaust.

Most people who object to wood burning heaters have no problem using electric heaters run from electricity generated in dirty coal burning power plants on the outskirts of the city. You're still causing polution. Most Australian smog is caused by the reaction with the intense sunlight here - hence the name photochemical smog. If the air over Sydney looks orange, that doesn't mean it's more polluted than London, just that the UV radiation had reacted with the pollution to result in orange/brown colored smog.

Sounds like all the Perth poms are trying to replicate the old Empire.

...sitting on the Bengal tiger skin rug, in front of the roaring fire, sipping on Chateau Snotty, recounting stories of Pith helmets and cups of tea in the jungle...

Are the streaming eyes in sorrow at the loss of empire?

As they say in the classics "the Empire has gone, and so has their minds".

Australian troops can shoot to kill

'POLICE and troops serving in the Solomon Islands intervention force will be allowed to kill if necessary and will be backed by helicopters, patrol boats and armoured vehicles.'

PS Australian Troops were not that well tooled up in Iraq , then again the Arabs could fire back?

Aussie toops: shoot to kill

Details of the Australian-led intervention plan are contained in confidential briefing papers, obtained by The Australian, prepared for the Solomon Islands cabinet by Australian and New Zealand officials.

They set out ambitious plans for the deployment of more than 2000 defence personnel, 400 police and the insertion of at least 100 foreign civilians into all key areas of the Solomons administration in the next 12 months.

SOLOMON ISLANDS
AN UNSPOILED NATURAL PARADISE AS BEAUTIFUL AS ITS PEOPLE

Trust the Aussie's to put pay to that?

No way un-armed non Australians are easy meat , I'll keep moving.
Australia's atempt at an Empire invade peaceful Island and shoot natives , how novel.

Still in British hand's as is Australia , we had to fight for the Falklands again'st an invader.
The brave Aussie troops hide at gun fire but come out in force when facing un-armed natives.

Your Union Jack undies are showing at your crack? You are welcome to the Falklands but Australia was never yours.

You need to concentrate on the mothership...your return is imminent???
