As I've now got my PR visa we're starting to think about where we will live in Australia. My wife wants to go to Monash University and if she gets in she will go to the Clayton campus. Can any of the Melbourne residents tell me if Clayton is a good area to live?
I will hopefully be able to get a job at my current companys branch in the Melbourne CBD and will have to comute to there every day.

Clayton wouldn't be my preffered area to stay but thats just a personal view. I'd look around the South Eastern Suburbs, Glen Waverley, Wantirna, Mitcham, Rowville & Berwick if I was you. As long as you have a car there all within easy reach of Clayton.
