Default classic car container shipping Germany-Sydney

Hi guys, I am looking to get some information/advice for shipping a classic car over to the east coast of Australia from Germany (Hamburg,Bremerhaven).
Did anyone of you go through a similar situation and can help me?
I tried to get information about the process a few years ago, the shipping part never seemed to be the big problem, it was more the actual import into Australia. The shipping companies couldn't give me information about the import, because they don't have agents working with them at the australian destination.

Please reply if you can help with any information.

Cheers,
Torsten

Hi, this link should tell you all you need to know. If you click on 'import option' you'll see that the first section deals with importing vehicles manufactured before 1989, a category specifically designed for classic cars and others.

Have a look here - http://ironladyimports.com/. What Craig doesn't know about personal imports isn't worth knowing!

Try Peter Leahy Custom Imports http://www.rolyleahycustomimports.com/. If Peter can't do it, he would probably know who can import from for you at reasonable rates.
