Probably as well as Brits would do with the citizenship test for immigrants to the UK
I had a go at a "suggested" test the other day and straight off the bat got about 17 out of 20. It can't be too difficult

I think I might take the test anyhow, even though I won't need to. I don't want moral high grounders saying that I'm not a proper citizen because I haven't passed the test.

11 years on and I'm still using that as my excuse
But there is hope for us yet ...

It does sound like that doesn't it. But it's not true if you validated before midnight 30th June 2007, only after.

OK, I'll take a stab.
1901.
26th of January.
I have absolutely no idea.
"Australians all, let us rejoice".
The wattle.
About 20 million.
Canberra.
The Governor General.
National vote.
The public (allegedly!)
The winning party.
Red, white & blue.
Federal, state, local.
1788.
True; jury service is compulsory, as is voting.
True.
True.
True.
True.
