Talking Citizenship Application Approved!

Got the approval letter yesterday. Just got to wait for a date for the ceremony now!! It will probably coincide quite nicely with my 40th birthday.

Waaaaay....!!!!

Nice one Renth.

We're starting the process in 3 weeks time.
Did you use the DIMIA office in Perth?
How long did it take from application to approval?

It's quicker to apply the old-fashioned way - forget the idea of applying 'online', just bring all your documentation to the office and they will usually interview you on the spot.

You can try ringing 131880 to make an appointment for an interview but they may well tell you they are booked up for weeks ahead. As far as I know, if you turn up on the day they should be able to cope, although you will have to wait. Check the opening hours on the DIMIA website and it's worth arriving 45 mins or so before the office opens.

All adults applying (age 16+) must attend individually.
