Christmas Turkey??

Do australians eat turkey at christmas? Haven't seen them anyhere, had a look in coles and woolworths. Most of the butchers don't have them either. Is it all prawns on the barbie?
Would love to get my hands on a turkey, it won't seem the same as its so hot outside but I love my roast turkey....Mmmmmmm!!!!
Have managed to get a nice ham though!

We are having our traditional turkey dinner - turkey seems bloody expensive here though. Our next door neighbours have bought a goose, you can hear it honking or whatever geese do, they are fattening him up for the table.

Go to your local butcher. They will probably not have them in stock but will order it in for you. You may need to shop around as you have left it a bit late.

Yes, I would much prefer the Fresh Steggles ones from the Butchers

I haven't bought meat or poultry from a supermarket now for ages.

I wonder if the Today Tonight program was the cause of the big price drop for Frozen Turkeys at Woolworths ...

Hmmm I must try and sample some of your tucker one day. Theres been a few times I've had a second take at your food comments.

Fresh Steggles has always done me ok  I cant tell the difference between it and our la ionica chicken which is meant to be a premium brand... maybe its the way I cook it ?

I'm ordering a fresh turkey for once this year.... @ 7.50KG does that mean it's automatically going to be bad. The Vietnamese Butchers I get it from is always crowded... plenty of older Italians buy there, which is usually a good sign. Their meat always tastes good to me. I've a feeling that NB wouldn't approve though. What are you buying NB ?

Can we have a vote for who's food you would most like to sample, for this Xmas. I'd definitely stick NB on top of that vote.

I just have funny ideas about my food, nothing wrong with that.
