Re: child care in Melbourne
Sorry, we moved to Sydney but there are plenty of online resources to help find childcare centres. We referred to Careforkids.com.au a lot when we were searching in Sydney. When I was checking that they cover VIC I also noticed this website: Childcare Centre Association Victoria.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Re: child care in Melbourne
We had a few recommendations but in the end figured the only way was to phone them all up, and get in the door. Some recommendations just didn't work for us - some people are after very different things to us. The other problem you may find is that the ones people recommend are over subscribed so again the only real way is to get in there and have a chat.....

Hi
i would also ring your local council depending on what sort of child care you are after
as my wife ( as do others ) runs family dare care ( we are in mornington so i would think other councils run the same sort of thing ) looking after children upto 5 years old at home , hours to suit both you and them
