Default Cheap Books, CDs and DVDs at Borders

Borders have 40% off books, CDs and DVDs this week. Sign up for their email newsletter and to download the necessary vouchers at: www.borders.com.au

I just bought a load of stuff for $88 that would have cost $144 full price.

Their email voucher system is great, isn't it. The Bloke tells me I don't HAVE to go to Borders just cos I have a voucher, but it seems rude not to spend it

Borders rock. Without them the Aussie bookshop scene would be pretty bleak. 40% off is a lot - cheaper than Amazon or Ebay.

Great timing I was off to the bookshop this weekend to buy something to keep me entertained on the flight to England (Tuesday). Its an added bonus when you get money off!

Borders is an American outfit - and it shows. Offer big discounts and get the customers in and spending. Aussie business needs to take note and follow suit. It would be fun if they put Dymocks or A&R out of business.

All we need now is Walmart, Costco (already on their way), CompUSA, REI etc.

Anyone ever order from the the book depository.co.uk in Australia. They have free worldwide delivery.
I always use them here in Ireland. They are tons cheaper than amazon, ebay or any store.
Was wondering what the delivery times were to australia and have people had good experience with them, if any?

Never heard of them before but thank you. I have just bought a book from them that I have been looking for for a long time and couldn't find anywhere. Free delivery too

Yeah I use Abe books too. Have got some great old books from that site.

Have been using book depository for a year or two now and they are the best so far.

Cheap books, how about 60c

If you have kids that read books in 2 hours $20 a pop is a bit steep. Council library system here is brilliant, weve had all the new books by Potter, Horowitz, Muchamore, Cowell, etc etc within 2 weeks of release by simply reserving them around the release date at the library. Brand new copies 60C They do overseas magazines too, and all the investment mags etc, for the amount of reading the family does in a year reckon we save thousands.

Wow I got very confused then......I went to 'the' book depository.co.uk and got a site which basically listed ebay books - very confusing.

Just to clarify......the website is www.bookdepository.co.uk

Gonna check it out now - cheers

Thanks for the heads up. We just had a three day (two nights) break in a Novatel in the Sunshine coast for $49 from a mate by email (we had to sit through 90mins of timeshare blurb). Perhaps we could start a bargains thread/forum on here for these types of offers?
