Hi Karla
I am really not such a bad typist or speller I am doing this in work time (not supposed to) so I am hurrying and not taking any notice of what I am typing, will try to do better

They don't want to hear about it anymore, it just reminds them that were going, even though as you said it will be over 12 months till we actually leave. I love being able to come on here and talk about it to other people who are experiencing the same things, understand what it's like and are just as excited as yourself. Good to hear your final certificate arrived and that its all on its way for you. The whole thing must be doubly exciting for you if you are heading out to join family. Best of luck to you.[/QUOTE]

Hi we were not far from you either - High Crompton in Oldham we were in Rochdale 3 weeks ago on our first trip back to the UK!!
My hubby had lost his certificates I think he downloaded a form filled it in and a replacement was sent out to him within a couple of weeks. Good luck, keep sane it seems a long time to wait but once the ball is rolling you'll feel more at ease.

Thanks for the feedback on C&G replacement certificates.
I did hear some negatives on here regarding getting certs from C&G but in most cases the original certificates were gained quite some time ago, as it's only 7 yrs since my OH sat his exams I am hopeful that we will get them.
Many thanks also for the reassurance.
Hope everything is going well for you out there.
All the best,
Karla x

I dont think you were talking to me but just for info We are using Overseas Emigration, They were recommended to us by 2 of hubby's colleagues, both of whom were granted visas.
And from what Ive seen on here the price we have been quoted is quite reasonable. Some have paid nearly double our quote for agent's services.
Good Luck and please keep me informed as we will probably be applying at roughly the same time.

Thankyou for that Mrs Koala!! Where are you looking to go? We have been too-ing and fro-ing between Perth and Melbourne but my wife (who is the main applicant - hairdresser) isn't fussed on doing the tests to get registered in Perth which are not required in Melbourne. I think that the tests will help verify her anyway but she is just worrying about it!!! Women eh!

We have always had our heart set on Perth, Though Ive never set foot on Australia so I can't say really. When we first began researching Perth Jumped out at us and to be honest we havent really considered anywhere else. May well move around once we're there though. And Women...... What can I say I am one and even I don't understand us - Sorry to all the other women, Im just being honest.

me neither!! Everyone we speak to says that Perth is beautiful and like most of Australia, is set for a boom in a couple of years. Only today a customer of mine told me how he fell in love with a place in Perth but his wife wouldn't take the plunge so he is stuck in blighty!! he is even more depressed now after today!!! I'll have to work on the wife a little i think. The tests only involve the skills she has been using for the last 23 years. it's just finding someone to do the tests on i suppose.

We got the contracts from our agents today, signed it all and put it straight back in the post.
It's all official now!

Still no word from C&G archive services though, Its 14 days tomorrow so I know I'll be getting worried if I don't hear anything.

Who is your TRA for? Yourself or partner? What skill is it for?
I could go on asking questions but I won't.
