character assessments
just about to send our application and double checking everything and noticed that we apparently should have a form 80 i.e character assessment for each person over the age of 16. Unfortunately this is not mentioned in the check lis t so we almost overlooked it . Does anyone know if this is a current requirement or is not needed untilit is requested?

Swifty,
We generally advise clients to complete form 80s prior to lodgement of the application. This enables DIMIA to undertake any background character checks they may consider necessary as quickly as possible.
However, it is not a requirement to provide the form 80 at the time of lodgement for the application to be valid.
