Changing career into teaching
Hi, this is Mrs. Satch_Boogie and I have a question. I currently have a BSc in Finance as well as an MBA from two respected US universities. I have worked as the head of private banking prior to staying home with the children. I have been thinking about changing careers and heading into teaching hopefully at a college, TAFE or adjunct university faculty.
What would I need to do in order to make this career change? |

I am still in the UK and would be looking to do this when we make the move to Australia. I love maths and it was a huge part of my BSc and MBA.

here's some more food for thought. Where in Oz are you thinking of moving? I know that Flinders Uni in SA have a good teacher training course if that helps? |

decide wisely Boogie.. if that can do good in your career lifestyle then go with it..
I know when I looked into it they wanted a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. I already have a teaching degree but that was irrelevant. So if you've already got a solid background picking up a certificate IV is no big deal (about $1500) and a relatively short course that can be done online I think. Best to ring them directly and see what advice you can get. |
