We have just emigrated from the UK to Melbourne, staying with family we have here and our two cats are currently sitting in quarantine until Sunday.
A certain family member has now decided that having the cats is too much for her life and doesn't want the cats staying in their house. Furthermore, can anyone recommend any cheap and good cattery's in Melbourne, preferably near bayside or the city. It's looking like a few weeks that we need them for and i'm not keen on anything with a plasma TV!
Any help would be gratefully appreciated

Televisions? I have never come across this set up before. My cats aren't interested in watching TV.

Y'know I knew somebody would pick up on that - should have known who too! It was a nightmare when we had carpet, but the carpet was so damn brown that it needed livening up. We were forever straightening it but bizarrely it wasn't my first thought when Han was watching the giant rats on TV. (He enjoyed Red Dog the other night, too.)
Now I'm still debating whether or not to put my rugs back down...and what kind of backing to use that won't ruin my floors.
Anyway - catteries. Melbourne. Sorry I can't help

Sorry to bring it back to topic :-)
Just to let you know that after a bit of ringing around, we visited Cats Conservatory in Cheltenham (http://www.catsconservatory.com.au) and were quite impressed with how they operate and work, and due to it potentially being longer than a month, we were able to negotiate quite a nice discount.
Hope this helps anyone else looking.

But at least you have somewhere for them and you know they will be well looked after until you get your own place, that is the main thing.
