Too many Jo's and too many Mark's I reckon! Have loads of both in address book!!

Will be there next Tues too...look forward to meeting more newbies!

A few of us regular Tuesday RSL's decided to have a little get together on the weekend.
As there are a few newbies we thought it would also be nice for everyone to meet.

Date - 17th Aug 2008 (this Sunday)
Place - Fagan Park, Galston
Time - 1pm.

Bring picnic rug, chairs, picnic, bikes, toys.
There are BBQ's, but not sure how busy it will be, and if we'll get on.

Its also huge! You do have to pay $4.00 to park, but you can park on the road.( for free)

They opened a brand new playground there last weekend, so we are hoping to meet somewhere close to this.

I'm so sorry everyone but I am laid up with flu and will not be able to make tomorrow - only been in the country a week and already on antibiotics, what a welcome!

The kids are most upset, so I have promised them that I will be fine for Tuesday at the RSL. So, hope to see you all then.

No Problem Jo, we had a fabulous afternoon and the park was great. I'm sure we'll do it again.

After our meet up yesterday, the following items were left in our vacinity and therefore we took home:-

- A pink/orange and green striped goose/duck soft toy with a bell inside
- Creamy pasta salad (might be eaten by the time it is claimed!)
- A small wooden chopping board
- 2 white plastic bowls/plates
- 4 Knives and 1 fork

I am planning to make tomorrow - my first one and no idea what anyone looks like! Apart from Sally that is (Sally, I have your coat, will bring tomorrow).

Be good to meet some new faces and get out, now that I am not so full of flu! If you see a woman in her 30's with red hair and with two little ones aged 5 years and 2 - that's me!

If you look at page 1 of this thread you will see some beautiful photos of a couple of us -- except now we're about a year older (so I have a few more wrinkles and lots more grey hair......)
Look out for the English accents. We usually sit on one of the large square tables nearish to the play area.

Thanks for that. I have red shoulder length hair and will be with a 5 year old little girl and two year old little boy. I think a few other new british expats will be coming along too - around 10.30/11.00am xx
