I doubt whether you would be able to. The laws governing pensions are there to stop the very thing you want to do. I would sit on them. 20k is going to be worth a whole lot more in 25 years time.

As far as I understand, New Zealand citizens cannot do so either.

Thanx for everyone's replies! It would seem that the whole idea of cashing in a pension is a no go!

Not a bad thing really - there's many a rash decision made in haste!
