Default CARTON OR CONTAINER?.

Can any body give advice on the decision on shipping stuff over. We arent taking a great deal over but would like to know how big and the price of these cartons. I know that a container is a few grand but the biggest stuff is the bunk beds.a double bed, 3 bikes possibly tumble drier,w/mashine f/freezer and a few boxes hardly worth £2500/ getting a container.

Ring a shipping company, tell them what you want to take, and they will quote you based on that. It'll then go into a shared container. At one time shared containers took a lot longer, but with so many people now migrating one way or the other its not that much slower than a full container.

We're taking a fair bit, but it's only about a third of a containers worth. Had 3 quotes ranging from £900 to £1200 plus insurance.

Going with Allied Pickford as they have a good reputation and also had the cheapest quote.

If it doesn't get there, I'm sure we'll put a post up!
