We are moving out to Perth in October!! Woohhhooo!!

Hubbie is a carpenter. Can anyone let me know what he needs to start work within a few weeks of us arriving by way of card/license? (besides our visa of course!) and what websites I need to go to to obtain them.

As far as I'm aware a carpenter is not a licenced trade as opposed to electrical, plumbing, metal and gas trades. If he did Vetassess for migration purposes he would have been issued with an AQF III certificate and would be ready to work immediately, barring the relevant health and safety courses to work on sites.
If he didn't do Vetassess then he will need to contact your local TAFE and go through the process of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and they will determine if he needs any further training. If he doesn't need any further training then they will issue an AQF III certificate.
