Default Carlton Hotel Singapore

Hi,
Has anybody stopped at the Carlton Hotel en route? If you did how much security deposit do they require, and could this be left in Australian dollars?
Bit of a long shot I know , but you gotta ask.

Talking Re: Carlton Hotel Singapore

Haven't been Singapore yet ( hope to do when I fly to Perth) but when I stopped over in Bangkok airport at the dayrooms, they accepted US$ with no hesitation. It seems most countries love them.
Hope to hear what the Carlton is like!

Just don't forget the 5% Goods Tax 10% service charge and 1% cess(?) to be added to the bill, even if you pay in advance through someone like expedia. I suppose I could leave the deposit in Singapore dollars and the change it back but it would be a bit of a pain.

The Carlton's just across the road from where I usually stay; looks like a 4 - 5 star place and is probably well up to the usual SIN standards.
