Car rental in NZ
We're going to have a lot of luggage so need a bigger car than usual. I've been looking at Full-size or 4WD and National seems to come out the cheapest so far.
Does anyone know of any other companies worth trying? (renting from Auckland)
BTW I was trying to get on-line quotes from Hertz and they ask you for your country of residence. If you put Australia instead of UK the price of a 4WD falls by about $300 per week.???????

If you go for a cheapy like Apex
http://www.apexrentals.co.nz/apex-cars.html you can save loads vs the big boys. We used them - they were fine. Cars are not as new but covered by AA for breakdowns, not that a breakdown is likely.
