phobia is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Can't find work :(

I hope this is in the right forum.

I've been in Adelaide for three months now on my working holiday visa and I'm finding it really hard to find work here. All the vineyards aren't looking for people so late in the season and all the jobs I've looked at only want residents or people with an unrestricted visa, as I'm only on a working holiday visa (three months work at a time) I seem to be screwed.

Can anyone point me in the right direction (website, agency, anything) of where I can find work for my type of visa. I'm getting desperate as my money is getting to the point where I may have to go back to England.
-sigh- I'm willing to do pretty much anything at this point (I just don't want to work in a bar or club)

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me here.

I had exactly the same problem last year on my WHV!

Was living in Hobart though so the jobs down there are very hard to come by. Had to do fruit picking for a few weeks getting a poxy $44 a day! Unbelievable. Luckily one of the guys in the soccer team I joined up for was a recruitment consultant and he managed to get me some data entry work which was working for the Tasmanian government. Although it was only for 3 months, it was the best job ive ever had. It took me 2 months to find work in the end and I tried everthing from asking shopowners to signing up for recruitment agencies.

Keep searching and Im sure something will come up!

Best of luck

Head north and get agricultural work in a different field. Maybe bananas in queensland.

Farmers are crying out for agricultural workers.
