can i sponser my brother?
would anyone please be able to advise me?
is there anyway i can sponser my brother to live in oz permanently,
once we are there obviously!
we have independant skilled visa's.
he is a moter mechanic by trade but has no recent work expierience in that,
he is a qualified surf instructor and lifeguard now and that is what he has recent expierience in.
your views please!

Not up on this sort of thing IG but think you have to be a citizen before you can sponsor.

I've looked into it for sponsoring my sister and one needs to be an oz citizen first; then sponsor them for a family repatriation visa. When they get here they have to live in the same city/location.

The 'more points' rule for citizen sponsors hasn't been in existence since about 1999.
Up to date information is available on the DIMIA website. Information on skilled sponsored migration is in the Skilled Migration Booklet (booklet 6).
