Can anyone recommend a financial adviser in Sydney?
Title says it all. We've been here nearly 6 months and are hopelessly disorganised. We need to get ourselves sorted, understand the tax system, see is it worth getting private medical insurance etc. etc. not to mention finding out about mortgages! We're used to the UK system where advisers get commission from products they sell - they don't charge $200 an hour for advice! Has anyone used someone they would recommend, preferably someone who would do a home visit or evening appointment if they're not CBD based? Thanks.

Tax system it would be best to see a tax accountant or look on www.ato.gov.au
Medical insurance is really a case of looking at them and comparing youself , IMO it's not worth it unless your taxable income hits the medicare levy (i think this is $50k taxable) then i think you have to pay 2 - 3 k
