Any reason why people are picking Varsity to live in? I mean it's ok but there are other places that aren't quite so packed in tight with no internet to speak of. Obviously if you're already living there, it's a different story I guess.

Take a look at the rental situation. If you want to be gold coast way and only want to be slightly bent over, varsity lakes is where all the rentals are.

Location and rent cost. For someone working in the Gold Coast, and renting, there isn't much around suitable for a specific situation.
But the internet there is seeming to be a big problem.
