Cambridgeshire meet up - new thread

Re: Cambridgeshire meet up - new thread
My daughter will be three in June (three going on 17!!!)
My OH is an IT specialist (not coming on Saturday though as he is working) and I am a part-time secondary Science teacher. We have our 136 visa (granted June 07) and we validated on the trip we have just returned from. Aim to make the move by the end of September, hopefully to Adelaide.

Hi, my daughter is 15 months old. Is Clara walking yet Sharmaigne?
My husband is a qualified carpenter. We are going to Cairns in October for 3 weeks to visit friends, have a holiday and check out areas, jobs etc.
We will then apply for the 175 skilled pr visa, which hopefully will be straight forward. My OH has the right qualifications and has been in the same job for 14 years so has plenty of experience.

Aww that's cool that she'll have a playmate her age, I'll bring a bag of her toys to keep her entertained.
Would be cool to keep in touch and see how eachother are progressing with the application.

Hi Kylee, yes Clara has just started walking - only learned last week so she's still quite wobbly but getting there. What is your daughters name, is she walking yet?

My daughters name is Bobbie, and she started walking in January but is still a bit clumsy on her feet sometimes.
I am half tempted to leave her with someone on Saturday so I can have a good natter with everyone and not have to chase around after her especially as my OH is not going to be there to help. At the moment she does not like to sit still for very long!! I will see what sort of mood she is in on the day.
Yes it will be nice to keep in touch with everyone and watch everyones progress.

Hi all,
We're heading for Melbourne (hopefully around September 08). We applied for a 176 (sponsored by my Dad) on the 30th November. So, we're at the agonising stage of "waiting for a CO". I'm a Marketing Manager and Toni is a Finance Administrator. I'm hoping to do similar work in the CBD and we're hoping Toni won't have to work for the first couple of years so we can focus on settling the boys in.
We have two boys aged 4 and 2 (Luke and Kai) - I'll warn you now, they're hooligans!! I believe there's a little play area so they should be able to keep themselves entertained for a while.
Think that'll do, otherwise I won't have anything to say on Saturday
We're really looking forward to seeing you all. The only thing Australian we can bring is a Yellow T-Shirt that I'll be wearing with Australia written on the back. Other than that, I'd have to bring me bull roarer and boomerang
Colin & Toni

She's quite happy to sit with some books or in the night garden toys.

Re: Cambridgeshire meet up - new thread
Hey guys - looking forward to seeing you all later! Any probs just give me a buzz on my mobile 07809 896371. Just realised the only ozzy things I have relate to booze (bottle stops and stubby holders)
I'll be wearing jeans, a white T-shit and a ble/turquise short cardi but hopefully you'll recognise me anyway! Don't forget to find me as i've got name stickers 'cause I don't know about anyone else but i'm rubbish at remembering names
Kylee - I think you should def bring Bobbie, i'm sure they'll be plenty of us available to help entertain the kids - personally I have been known to even go play in the ball pool (although not at Brewsters yet!!!!)!!! - Comes with the nature of my job i'm afraid plus the fact I used to work in a nursery!!!
See you all in a few hours - looking forward to it!!!

Hi all,
Sorry we had to dash off so soon. Not sure how many of you knew but our eldest luke fell off the kiddies ride and we suspected he'd broken something. So, we've just got in from A and E after nearly a four hour wait and he's got a sling as he's fractured his arm :-(.
Would love to do another meet up soon, those we did meet, really enjoyed chatting to you all and good luck with your applications.
Thanks for oprganising it Natalie, really enjoyed it.
Colin, Toni, Luke and Kai.
