Default Calling all SCUBA divers...

We're newly(ish) qualified PADI AOW divers (20 odd dives) heading to Sydney in October/November all being well. Dived in Red Sea and Thailand but never Oz.

Anyone out there who's dived in Oz/regularly dives in Oz?? Where have you dived? What have you found it to be like? Any recommendations for clubs in Sydney? Please share away...

Hi Steve, must have missed that discussion - will do a search. We're in Swinton so not far from you, we learnt to dive in Sharm last year - did OW and AOW in one hit, then a few more day dives. Got back from Thailand (Similan Islands) a month or so back - not brave enough to try british waters yet (boo, hiss), 3mm wetsuit only for me!!

Definitely hooked though... It's neither glamorous or cheap, but it certainly is addictive!

Cheers,

Graham

Yes she is a DM
Not sure about the accountancy - she works in a different department but I thought she was involved in looking at mud and stuff (environmental things...)
Yes she has spent a year in Oz (and Thailand etc...)

Must be one and the same I reckon...

I have dived in WA and of course the Great Barrier Reef

I totally agree. I have only dived one of the reefs, so may have been unlucky. I have done a lot of dives in Dahab, and in comparison was disappointed with the BR.
