Hi Dan,
There seem to be loads of schools in and around Kalamunda, seem to be lots of kindergarden facilities as well, don't have kids yet but Aston man, Sam and Amazulu live up this way and have kids i think, hopefully they will respond with more details.
The hills are great, wouldn't swap for anywhere else in Perth

My son is in kindy at Helena College in Darlington. I've very happy with the school - at least at primary level. For high school we might send him to Guildford Grammar - which is also a very good school. Helena is a private school and is not church funded, so the fees are a bit higher - although not too bad considering the standard of the school. It's a 15 minute drive from Kalamunda.

Both of my girls go to Kalamunda Primary state school

Can't fault it, the teachers are good, both are doing well, the school was one of the top ones for literacy in Perth last year

My eldest had the pick of high schools to go to, both private and state (she got into all the academic programs run by the schools) we have chosen to send her to Kalamunda High with the view that if it isn't for her we'll transfer to either St Bridgits (private) or Lesmurdie High (state) Both of which will take her!

Personally i think the kids will do well in what ever school they go to...... if they want to!
