Default Cad work Perth

Hi there
We are thinking of going to Perth early next year Jan/Feb
I am an intermediate Cad Tech with 5 years experience using Autocad and Microstation mainly in Rail/Electrical and a bit of Civil and Structural work.
I have a NZ passport.

I'm just wondering what the state of play is like for finding work for Drafties at the moment. I have been told by an agency I need to be in Perth before they will put me forward for any roles.

My partner works on rigs as an Oil field Technician, and will follow me over to Perth when I find work.

The agency was right. They won't put you forward for jobs until you're here to actually do the job. Have you looked at the job sites like www.seek.com.au or www.careerone.com.au ?
